Fit & Size Chart

Finding your best fit should feel effortless. Use the guide below to compare your body measurements with the EMEL Fashion size range before placing an order. Our designs are made for a flattering, modern silhouette; however, the cut, fabric, and stretch of each style can affect the final fit.

Please note:Β This chart listsΒ body measurements, not garment measurements. If a product page provides a dedicated size chart or a specificΒ Size & FitΒ note, follow that product-level guidance first.

Women's Size Chart

Measure yourself in underwear or close-fitting clothing with a soft measuring tape held level and comfortably snugβ€”not tight. If your measurements fall between two sizes, use the product fit guidance below to make your selection.

How to Measure

Measurement How to measure accurately
Bust Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust while keeping your arms relaxed at your sides. Keep the tape level across your back.
Waist Measure around your natural waistβ€”the narrowest point of your torso, usually just above the navel. Do not pull the tape tightly.
Hips Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.
Shoulders For structured jackets and outerwear, measure from the outer edge of one shoulder to the other across your upper back.
Inseam For pants, measure from the top of your inner thigh to the desired hem point. Refer to the product page when inseam length is listed.

Choose Your Fit

Slim-Fit, Bodycon, Mermaid, and Tailored Dresses

These silhouettes are designed to follow the shape of the body. Choose the size that accommodates yourΒ largest bust or hip measurement. If you are between sizes, we generally recommend sizing up for more ease and comfortβ€”especially in styles with a fitted bodice, a non-stretch waist, a zipper closure, or minimal stretch.

A-Line, Swing, and Relaxed Dresses

For styles that are more fluid through the skirt or hip, begin with yourΒ bust and waistΒ measurements. These designs are intended to offer more movement below the waist while maintaining a polished shape at the bodice.

Tops, Blouses, and Knitwear

Use yourΒ bust measurementΒ as your starting point. For a close-to-the-body look, select your usual size. If you prefer a relaxed fit, plan to layer underneath, have broader shoulders, or fall between sizes, choose the larger size.

Matching Sets and Bottoms

For sets, pants, skirts, and shorts, prioritize yourΒ waist and hip measurements. If your top and bottom measurements correspond to different sizes, please contact us before ordering so our team can help identify the best option for the specific style.

Outerwear

Consider the layers you expect to wear underneath. For a tailored coat or jacket, use yourΒ bust and shoulderΒ measurements. If you plan to wear knitwear or heavier layers, or if you are between sizes, select the larger size for comfortable movement.

Swimwear

Choose the size that best matches yourΒ largest measurement, either bust or hips. Because coverage, lining, support, and fabric stretch vary by design, always review the product description and size notes before ordering.

Between Sizes?

Your situation Our recommendation
You prefer a close, sculpted silhouette and the fabric has stretch. Choose the smaller size when your measurements sit at the lower end of its range.
You prefer comfort, have a fuller bust or hips, or intend to layer. Choose the larger size.
The item is markedΒ Slim Fit,Β Tailored, orΒ Bodycon. Use your largest measurement and size up if you are between sizes.
The item is markedΒ Non-StretchΒ or has a fitted waist. Select the size that matches your waist; do not size down.
You are shopping for an A-line or relaxed style. Start with your bust and waist; the hip area is generally more forgiving.

Product-Specific Fit Notes

Every EMEL Fashion piece is unique. Please review the product description for fabric composition, stretch, silhouette, closure type, and any style-specific recommendations before adding an item to your cart. A product’s own size chart, garment measurements, or Size & Fit details always take priority over this general guide.

Small differences may occur because garments are measured by hand and fabrics respond differently depending on their construction. Please allow for a minor variance of approximatelyΒ 0.4–0.8 in (1–2 cm)Β where garment measurements are provided.
